Hero's Army

Yup, that's right. I've decided I should have my own army.  Not in the military sense, naturally.  What would I do with an army? (That was rhetorical, those of you who answered might want to Google 'militia' and consider shaving your head.)

No, I figure those 'other' vampire series have 'Team This' and 'Team That', and really, there's not need for that kind of side-taking, etc. here.  After all, it's just me, isn't it?  So 'Team Hero' would be a bit ridiculous, not to mention narcissistic.  I know, I know.  Some of you are thinking, 'well, isn't Hero's Army narcissistic?'.  I guess it is, to a point.  However, (here comes the rationalization) let's keep in mind I am a self-published author here and I need to drum up interest in my book/series/self as best as I can.  It's not cheap to publish your own book, ya know.  I've got costs to recoup.  So spreading the Gospel of Hero via Hero's Army, as opposed to hopping on the Team Train seemed the way to go.  It's more "Me".

I have to admit, I like the notion of people around the world with these little badges on their websites, blogs, whatever (you can get the code at the bottom of the page - actual badge will be a little smaller) all proudly displayed.  Not just fans, but my own little army, out to tell the world about me and my story.  The tale of my vampire boyfriend and our escapades (if they can be called escapades).

I have to admit, I did consider calling you guys my monkey minions because I love the Wizard of Oz (who doesn't?), but I was afraid there might be some who wouldn't get that I meant it affectionately.  Although really, who would call somebody their monkey minions and not mean it as a term of endearment?

So - how can you be a Proud Member of Hero's Army?  You're nearly there!  Just be a fan! Spread the word! Tell everyone you know about me and my book (soon to be books) and my blog and how much you love me!  You can also copy the code below to put the Hero's Army badge on your blog or website.  And of course, there is plenty of Hero Gear to be found at the Official FHS Shop. You can wear Hero t-shirts, use Hero keychains, pins, bumper stickers.  All kinds of stuff.  And very important - when you've finished reading my book(s), please leave a review for me on Amazon, B&N, Smashwords or some other publicly viewed site.

Thanks!
Hero
